Wizz Air Ukraine’s second base starts operating

Wizz Air Ukraine opened today its Donetsk base, which is the second Ukrainian base after Kiev.

Also, the airline took delivery of the 4th aircraft which will be based in Donetsk. The new Airbus A320 will operate 4 new routes from Donetsk to Milan Bergamo, Rome Fiumicino, London Luton, and Munich Memmingen, as well as operate the existing services to Kutaisi and Dortmund.

Today the first flight from the new Donetsk base was operated to Kutaisi with 139 passengers on board.

We believe that the region can be of great interest for tourists and business travellers. At the same time, citizens of Donetsk and the surrounding region have now the opportunity to explore more countries, as we offer low fares to Georgia, Germany, Italy, and Great Britain.”, said Akos Bus, General Director of Wizz Air Ukraine.
